Kitchen - Sharples Sally & Brian
Our client had a clear vision for her Kitchen of Dreams, as we referred to it throughout. Sally desired an unfitted ‘furniturey’ in-frame style that would sit perfectly within her period property.
Although the room had been newly extended, space was still at a premium, so we suggested made-to-measure units to optimise storage. The unfitted island and drawer units add to the character of the room and give an illusion of more floor space.
The island is beautifully compact, benefiting from non-standard depth cupboards, which still leave ample room for seating.
The room dimensions changed during the latter stages of the build, but because we build each kitchen to order, unit depths could be increased right at the wire.
Those additional inches proved important, enabling us to create a dresser-based breakfast pod to house the toaster and kettle, as well as deeper storage units either side of the Aga.
